JC Sessions is an associate with Smith Knowles, PLLC. He was born and raised in Ogden, Utah and attended Bonneville High School. After serving a mission for his church in Northern California, JC attended Weber State University and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in history, his first academic passion. JC and his wife, Ashley, then spent a year in England so JC could complete a Master’s degree, also in history, at the University of Oxford. During his time at Oxford as a member of Blackfriars’ Hall, he received a scholarship for the Blackfriars’ Hall 800th Jubilee. After attending Oxford, he moved to Los Angeles to begin his legal education at UCLA School of Law. He graduated from UCLA and was privileged to walk at the graduation ceremony with his baby girl who at the time was eight months old. JC’s time abroad and in California has informed his worldview and helped him appreciate the good and hard-working people of Utah.
JC treasures his family—taking care of his wife and little girl are the purpose and drive behind all his work. He also loves spending time with friends, especially if a board game is involved. JC can be caught hiking, writing, or listening to classic rock.
JC practices in the areas of Landlord-Tenant, Foreclosures, Bankruptcy, Real Estate, Contracts, Litigation and Collections.
