Professional Background
Before joining Smith Knowles, P.C. in its Meridian Idaho office, Patrick served as Executive Director of Philanthropy at North Canyon Medical Center and as an of counsel attorney for Gravis Law, PLLC, where he provided consulting services in homeowner association, business and probate matters. From 2007 to 2018 Patrick practiced law in Tri-Cities, WA including providing city attorney services to Pasco, Benton City, Sunnyside and Mesa; serving as land use hearing examiner pro-tem for the City of Walla-Walla; and ultimately managing his own law firm Advance Legal Services, PLLC where his practice included Community Associations (HOA’s and Private Water Systems), Real Estate Development, Business Formations, Contracts, Estate Planning and Probate. While in law school at University of Idaho, Patrick served in the small business legal clinic and interned with law firms in Rexburg and Coeur d’Alene performing title searches, mapping water rights, and investigating personal injury claims.
Patrick is a member of the Idaho, Oregon and Washington State Bars. He is admitted to practice in federal court for the Districts of Idaho, Oregon and Eastern Washington, and before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Patrick is a member of the Community Association Institute and Idaho State Bar Real Property Section. Past memberships include the American Bar Association; Benton-Franklin County Bar Association; WSBA Real Property, Probate and Trust Section; WSBA Health Law Section; Washington State Society of Healthcare Attorneys; and the Kadlec Hospital Foundation Board.
