MECHANICS LIENS
A mechanics' lien is a right given to laborers, subcontractors and professional service providers to secure payment for labor, materials or services rendered to improve a particular parcel of real property. The right is enforced by recording a lien with the county recorder's office of the county where the land is situated and gives the lien claimant the right to foreclose and sell the property.
